WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY?
The actual definition of Physical Therapy is the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs or surgery.
It provides a solution for multiple struggles, and even acts as a preventative measure for possible future issues.
We all have imbalances, injuries, and pre-existing issues that can be resolved for better performance. Physical Therapy is not just for injured people or people who have had surgery. Itโs extremely valuable for people who want to improve their physical abilities as well.
We assist our clients with the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and physical function impaired or threatened by disease, injury, disability, or other conditions.

AVOID DOWNPLAYING YOUR INJURIES
Oftentimes, we ignore benign injuries because we don’t think they’re bad enough to seek medical care. Instead, we opt for at-home treatments in hopes it gets better by itself. Over time, the injury gets worse and usually spreads to other areas of the body in an attempt to compensate for the pain or imbalances.
Every year, half of all Americans experience a musculoskeletal injury that lasts for longer than three months. According to a recent estimation, an astounding 2.4 billion people are in need of physical therapy.
Physical therapy isnโt just a couple of exercises. It can include joint manipulation, massage, and various forms of treatment with the right practitioner.
There isn’t just one solution for everyone. With the uniqueness of each person (and injury). Greater Than Performance and Rehab’s certified physical therapists provide the most effective treatments with care.
USE PHYSICAL THERAPY TO PREPARE FOR LIFTING
Preparing the body for what’s to come when lifting weights and building your strength is key.
Physical therapy can be used to loosen joints, muscles, tendons, and even scar tissue build-up from previous injuries- which positively impacts the flow and difficulty level of a lifting session.
You will notice the weights feel lighter, your movements are improved, and you avoid injuries with ease. Physical therapy can be be a proactive, not just reactive, solution!
PHYSICAL THERAPY for Strength Training
Strength training requires many moving parts- including making good decisions about self care. Lifting heavier weights can provide the human body with a stimulus for building strength and muscles. However, this stimulus has to be carried over a period of time to create the desired change.
If you’re not taking proper care of your body for recovery, treating existing injuries (including mobility issues or imbalances), and practicing measures to prevent future injuries, your body will not keep up with the progression of increased strength and muscle size.
Making physical therapy a part of your strength training regimen will reduce your chances of injury and increase your body’s longevity. You’ll handle your training sessions without injury and your therapy sessions with natural ease.
RESTORE HEALTHY ELECTRICAL BALANCE WITHIN THE BODY
Much like a battery, the human body is electric. Our cells carry voltage. The electric charges that are necessary to maintain optimum health in our cells can decline from age, injuries and illness. Electrons Plus Therapy helps to restore this healthy electrical balance within the body, stimulating the healing process at the cellular level.
Electrons Plus Therapy is used to treat numerous ailments such as:
– Muscle tension
– Pain & Inflammation
– Post-op muscle loss
– Decreased range of motion &/or functionality
– Blockages (including to nerve pathways known as Dermatones)
– Neurological conditions such as neuropathy, migraines, depression, and sleep problems
– Skin wounds
– Weak tensile strength in ligaments
– Damaged nerves & Tissue Necrosis
– Diminished capillary formation
