BACK AND NECK PAIN ARE COMMON PROBLEMS
With the right mix of methods, our Chiropractic Care service can provide you with a solution. Our knowledgeable and certified chiropractor, Dr. Colby Lovelace, will help you manage and resolve Neuromusculoskeletal issues using spinal adjustments, manipulation and other techniques.
Often the key to relief is a combination of therapeutic exercises with various physical modalities (such as massage and electrotherapy), assistive devices, and patient education, and training. Dr. Colby Lovelace specializes in all of these modalities in order to provide you with the most comprehensive care.
CHIROPRACTIC SPECIALTIES INCLUDE:

ADJUSTMENTS
Involves locating dysfunctional joints that aren’t moving correctly or causing a lot of pain, and “adjusting” them to restore property joint motion. Our chiropractors are not only trained to adjust the spine but other joints such as shoulders, ankles, wrists, knees, and even jaws.

DRY NEEDLING
A needle is inserted into a specific muscle creating a “twitch” response. This technique decreases myofascial trigger point activity and shortened bands of skeletal muscle.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Everyday our bodies endure micro-traumas which impact how the soft tissues in our body move. The negative effects can include changes in range of motion, decreased strength, as well as pain. This treatment modality focuses on combining treatment for both affected muscles and joints. Instead of just one system, this technique treats the entire body.

ROCKTAPE APPLICATION
Involves application of Kinesiology tape- an elastic tape that, unlike athletic tape, is not stiff and isn’t intended to restrict joint motion. Underneath the tape, it slightly lifts the skin and causes better fluid dynamics (positive neurological input).

SCRAPING
Also known as Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, this technique addresses soft tissue restrictions that are limiting range of motion and functional movements. A stainless steel tool is used to assess tissue integrity along the kinetic chain looking for issues in the soft tissue (i.e. scar tissue). It’s also used to stretch out collagen cross-links of connective tissue and muscle fibers, increase cellular activity to injured areas, and increase reflex changes in chronically tight muscle holding patters.

3D MOVEMENT CAPTURE (KAMS)
Use of Kinetisense technology software during a movement assessment to grade movement, locate dysfunction, and measure severity level. As a patient performs several required movements, the software will determine which are their 3 most dysfunctional joints in their upper and lower body, as well as which plane of motion those joints are dysfunctional in. The software also grades flexibility, core stability, balance, dynamic posture, power out put, functional asymmetry, and susceptibility of injury. *Available Upon Request.

BENEFITS OF CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Adjustments restore proper joint motion and eliminate unnecessary compensation by surrounding muscles and soft tissue.
Dry Needling treats deep areas of the muscles, creates a natural inflammatory response, and promotes healing within the body.
Myofascial Release treats the entire body instead of one system which leads to better and faster results.
Rocktape Application improves muscular activation and performance and normalized muscle tone. Patients experience decreased pain, muscle spasms, and bruise reduction shortly after muscle injuries.
Scraping (aka Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) decreases pain while restoring range of motion and normal function in the injured area.
3D Movement Capture (KAMS) equips our chiropractors with an in-depth movement and deficiency assessment that helps them formulate an effective recovery plan for patients.
